LAZLO |
|
| French artist, born in Lyon, living in Sainte-Foy-lès-Lyon in the Rhone where finally, since1974 she has been able to lay down her roots. This self taught woman bursts with life, as much as do the topics which she chooses for her creations, lacking neither imagination nor eclecticism |

| Unfortunately, a riding accident left her temporarily bedridden and forced her to choose a different hobby. She took up sketching again, enlarging miniature drawings she had done in her youth. Tempted by painting, she mainly did portraits using oils and acrylics; she then turned to collage, which provided her with new sensations and allowed her to express her imaginary dream world. But 3D creativity attracted her so over a three year period she started to work with wood carvings, moving rapidly on to clay modelling. The latter gave her artistic instincts more freedom and enabled her to enjoy an exciting sensuality as her models took shape. Although she kept some of the clay works for herself, most of her sculptures are made of bronze. |

| Drama, one of her passions unfulfilled for 36 years, is now a part of her numerous activities along with another of her childhood dreams – dancing: Rock ‘n roll, line dance and….Scottish country dance. This latter is the latest to fulfil her aesthetic senses. She likes the whirling shimmering of the kilts and the tartans full of colours and these stimulated her eagerness to know more about clans and Scottish history. Without doubt Scottish country dancing has led to many personal contacts throughout the world - (she has danced in several countries in Europe, in North America and her latest trip to Japan in May 2004 has left her still in cultural shock!). Today, she understands much more clearly why she had such a strong attraction for the English language which she always wanted to improve after her commercial studies. |

| And to vary the pleasures : participations in various Quiz games on TV programmes (Questions for one champion, Télé la question) and a sport, tennis. However she still sometimes misses horse riding. |

| And finally, after 50 years, the dream of a small girl became reality, resulting in a memory full of joy and emotion that will remain for ever: on September 20, 2003, A FREE FALL JUMP (in tandem) from a height of 3800 m. Such was her desire to “fly like a bird” that she forgOt to be frightened when the time came to take that great jump into the void …….! |
